As many of you know I tried Fried Pickles for the first time while I was on the Northwest Ohio Media Tour. While I was going through my literature I found the recipe for Tony Packo’s Fried Pickles! I can’t wait to see if they taste the same. Why don’t you give this easy recipe a try also.
Tony Packo’s Fried Pickles
2 cups peanut oil for frying, or as needed
1 32-ounce jar of dill pickle slices, drained
1 cup of Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1 teaspoon cayenne Pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 eggs beaten
1 8- ounce bottle of Ranch Dressing
Instructions:
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Pat the pickle slices dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, stir together the bread crumbs, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and garlic powder. Dip pickle slices into the egg, and then coat with the bread crumb mixture. Fry the pickles in the hot oil, until golden brown on each side, turning once. Transfer to paper towels, and serve hot with ranch dressing. Courtesy of Tony Packo’s.

I recently been hearing so much about fried pickles. They are being sold at local restaurants around here. My cousin works at a restaurant and she ( and her grandkids) make them at home. Everything is fried now a days – candy bars , ice cream so why not pickles to. I’m anxious to try them as I love pickles : ) So thanks for the recipe too.
I am going to have to make this, very curious :)
