Back Cover Description:
An unvarnished portrait of a marriage that is both ordinary and extraordinary, Dancing on Broken Glass takes readers on an unforgettable journey of the heart.
Lucy Houston and Mickey Chandler probably shouldn’t have fallen in love, let alone gotten married. They’re both plagued with faulty genes—he has bipolar disorder; she, a ravaging family history of breast cancer. But when their paths cross on the night of Lucy’s twenty-first birthday, sparks fly, and there’s no denying their chemistry.
Cautious every step of the way, they are determined to make their relationship work—and they put their commitment in writing. Mickey will take his medication. Lucy won’t blame him for what is beyond his control. He promises honesty. She promises patience. Like any marriage, there are good days and bad days—and some very bad days. In dealing with their unique challenges, they make the heartbreaking decision not to have children. But when Lucy shows up for a routine physical just shy of their eleventh anniversary, she gets an impossible surprise that changes everything. Everything. Suddenly, all their rules are thrown out the window, and the two of them must redefine what love really is.
Review:
Dancing on Broken Glass, by KA Hancock, is a story about an unconventional love put through a rollercoaster life. While reading you feel connected to the characters and all that happens to them. You learn what it is like to love, to lose, and to come through that loss to love again – in a very different way. The characters are dynamic and the book is an emotional read. It was hard to put down. The story took turns, both unexpected and expected, but never lost its ability to capture you and pull you in. If you aren’t prepared for a little emotional heartache, this isn’t for you… otherwise, I would highly suggest this book.

Thank you for this review. This is one I think that I can relate to and am interested to see what the characters go through.
I have seen this on goodreads, and it looks like a very emotional story. I have not gotten the chance to read it yet, but it is definitely on my to read list.
I think this sounds like a great read. I’m sure it will have both sad and happy parts! I’ll try it out on my Kindle, thanks!
Haven’t read this yet but after reading your review and many other reviews on goodreads, I have purchased my own copy! Can’t wait to start reading it :) The first sentence of the synopsis “Lucy Houston and Mickey Chandler probably shouldn’t have fallen in love, let alone gotten married,” got me interested/hooked :)
This sounds like a very interesting book! Thanks for the review, I’d love to read it.
I love reading these type of books that you can get totally immersed with the characters involved – you never want to put the book down, but then end up being disappointed when you finish the book and you have to come back to “reality”. :)
I read this and loved it!

Thanks for your review :) I actually won this book in a giveaway but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. The premise of the book interested me b/c I enjoy books about marital relationships. I have to be in the right mood to read an emotional book such as this one.
