Summary:

Paralyzed at the age of 21, Rob Oliver was faced with major life questions. What does this mean about who I am? What am I going to be able to accomplish in life? What people going to think about me?

In answering these questions and others, Rob learned invaluable lessons. By sharing his story, he provides a powerful message to anyone that has ever faced adversity. Rob’s story entertains, inspires and teaches life lessons.

Despite his limitation, Rob is determined to engage life fully. Learn from his experiences, laugh at the funny things that happen and enjoy the story of a full life.

My Thoughts:

Still Walking by Rob Oliver is an inspiring autobiography about overcoming all odds, perseverance and faith. Though not everyone can say that they have been through something so drastic and life changing we have all had our trials and the message of this book is simple, clear and applicable to everyone. Never give up and everything happens for a reason. It was an emotional read for me especially when reading about the birth of his kids. I had a similar experience and the book had me in tears. i love being able to relate to a book, especially an autobiography. It makes me feel less alone. Something tells me that this was his goal. He succeeded.

I read a lot but for some reason I don’t care for biographies or autobiographies. So I will give this one a pass.
