Emmi Fondue Original Fondue Made Easy!

cheese fondue

French for ‘melted’, Fondue is a traditional Swiss dish of melted cheese that had originated from Alpine herdsmen and has been around since the 18th-century. Today, Emmi offers a distinct fondue line that allows for a simple, unique dish to be served when gathering with a group of friends or family. Leave the fuss at the store and bring the fun home.

The product I reviewed was the Original Emmi Fondue. This fondue is described as “Creamy and rich with the traditional Swiss flavor.”

Review:
This product definitely made fondue easy! All you need is a place to warm up the fondue and something to dip into it. I enjoyed the simplicity of the steps involved and the fact that I didn’t need to add anything to it! I wouldn’t rank this fondue as high as the kind you can get at some restaurants, but for a quick and easy fix at home it was great. The package came with instructions on how to vary it up such as adding tomato paste for a more Italian blend, but I stuck to the original without any added flavors because I wanted to try it out how it came on its own. I would love to try this with the tomato paste too in the future to see how it changed. My husband had never tried fondue and was expecting something more like regular cheese and was really surprised when it didn’t taste as he was expecting, since fondue has its own unique taste. This is a great product though, and I would definitely suggest it to anyone who was looking for a good fondue!

I like fondue, but haven’t had it in a long time because it’s a bit of a pain to make. This would make it easy. Yum!

I’m somewhat embarrassed to say that I’ve never made fondue even though I totally love cheese. I think I should break down and pick one of these up so I can see what all the fuss is about since I assumed it was much harder to make. Thanks.

  4. Sounds quite yummy. My only experience with fondue was at the Melting Pot restaurant one time and that was delicious. This sounds like a great product you could use at home.

  5. Now you’re making me crave fondue! Ahh! Thanks for the great review – I think I’ll have to add this to my shopping list.

I LOVE cheese. Do you think the description was accurate “Creamy and Rich”? Just curious how “creamy” a mix would be?

  7. I love fondue, Ive always been weary to make it on my own, but this sounds easy.

I haven’t had Fondue in years. My daughter and I were just talking about whipping some up. This is a god send since it simplifies the process. I’ve never heard of it before. So thanks for the review.
