Multitask with Ease VTech LS6475-3

New technology has changed the way people communicate compared to when I was growing up. Today you can multitask with ease. Back in the day my friends and I were glued to our landlines. Some days we would have 12 people connected at one time. Three way calling was a big deal back then! We didn’t have all the bells and whistle that are offered today, but we made it work. Do you remember when it was a big deal to get your own phone line? I do! It was my fourteenth birthday, and it came with a cordless phone. That was the end of using the phone with the extra long cord and dragging it into my room.

It’s a different story with my kids and their friends. They skip right over the landline, and ask for cell phones. And I don’t blame them because most cell phones offer more, and give you freedom when you are on the move. However, when I’m juggling family life, work, blogging and personal matters, I need a phone that makes things easier, not difficult. I don’t want to have to worry about charging a battery or headset after a few hours of talking, or being interrupted because my cell phone is constantly beeping from emails and text messages.

We already own a VTech phone system with similar features, so I was hoping the new phone was just as great as our current model. And guess what? It’s better! I am on the phone quite a bit throughout the day. Whether it is scheduling appointments, chatting with friends, family or for business, my mom hat rarely comes off. There is always someone vying for my attention or work to be done, so holding a handset can be awkward at times. Plus, after a while my ears and arm starts to hurt. With the VTech LS6475-3 I no longer have to worry about these things. I can now go about my day and multitask while talking on the phone, and have a private cordless hands-free conversation from the comfort of my home.

The VTech LS6475-3 Cordless Answering System is expandable up to 12 devices. Two of the devices can be cordless headsets using only phone jack! You can even rename the handset to display a name of your choice. Now everyone in your home can have their very own handset, and you don’t have to worry about which one is yours!

The sound is crystal clear and the range is awesome. I can go out to the garage and the phone works just like it does inside my home. Remember that push to talk feature I mentioned earlier. This is one of my favorite features. Simply use the handset like a walkie talkie to communicate with other members of your household, and eliminate the unnecessary shouting throughout the house. This feature is also included with our current VTech phone, so I was glad to see it with this model. We use it to play practical jokes on each other, so it’s not only useful, but fun too.

If you screens call like I do you’ll definitely love Voice Announce Caller ID! This feature is pure genius, and makes screening calls easier! No more walking to the phone to check the caller ID, just listen. If there is no name it will announce the phone number of the party calling. So now you know who’s calling, but you’re still not sure you want to pick up. Wait for the answering machine to pick up, then press the option for call screen and you can now hear the message. You can pick up using the handset or cordless headset or do nothing and let them leave a message! Pretty cool, right? We think so too!

My cell phone is convenient and I love all the bells and whistles. However, I’m not ready to get rid of our landline anytime soon.  I am glad that VTech keeps coming up with innovative ways to allow busy women to multitask with ease while using the phone.
