During the summer months, I love to make specialty drinks when entertaining guest. From cocktails to mocktails to fruit chillers and shakes for the kids, there is always something delicious to drink when I’m entertaining and enjoying the company of others.
Tea is one of my favorite ingredients to experiment with when creating drink recipes. There is nothing more satisfying than a cold glass of ice tea to quench your thirst on a hot summer day. So when I was sent samples of Pure Leaf Iced Tea to try out, I was thrilled.

Lipton Pure Leaf Iced Tea is a bottled tea with a fresh brewed taste. Made from all natural ingredients and no preservatives, Pure Leaf’s fresh brewed taste comes in seven flavors, appealing to tea lovers of all ages. The bottles have been replaced with new, eco-friendly packaging that are travel friendly, making it easier when you are on the go. These bottles are perfect for summer picnics, a day at the beach or an outing at the park. They are PET plastic and 100% recyclable.
I really enjoyed the Pure Leaf lemon. It tasted great! The sweetened tea was pretty good and the unsweetened was okay. Since the unsweetened was the least of my favorite of the three, I decided to use it in a smoothie recipe. The fruit tea smoothie was delicious, and a big hit with everyone in the family. Here is the recipe:

- 16 ounces Pure Leaf Iced Tea with Lemon or Pure Leaf Unsweetened
- Iced Tea, chilled
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup fat free vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- In blender, process all ingredients until smooth.
- Serve immediately in tall glasses and garnish, if desired, with fresh strawberries.

This is a great idea! I never thought of making a smoothie with tea but I like tea and if you add strawberries and ice cream, what’s not to like, right? Thanks for the great recipe!
I’ve been looking for some fancier summer drinks to fix at a wedding shower next week. Definitely putting this recipe on Pinterest.
I love iced tea that tastes pure instead of the artificial taste found in most bottled drinks. This sounds like a winner and I also love the bottle. Thanks for the recipe.
