Summary:
My little grand-daughter game me the impetus to write my first book, “Manners Are Free.” I feel strongly that manners are very important throughout life, and they seem to have fallen by the wayside. It’s never too early to teach children manners, and what better way than to read them a book that is fun and also begins the process of teaching them basic manners.
Our Thoughts:
Manners Are Free by M.B. Jones is a delightful and informative children’s book with full page pictures. The message of the book is very clear and that is that it is never to early to start teaching your children manners. I was really excited to read this book to my son because manners are something that we take very seriously in our house and my son constantly needs to be reminded despite our efforts. M.B. Jones wrote Manners Are Free it in a way that children will understand which is great! I really like the book is written in rhyme however some of the lines are stretched and drawn out in order to make them rhyme. It made it a little hard to read but my son didn’t even notice.
My son really enjoyed the book. He stayed focused throughout it all and when we talked about it afterwards, he was able to tell me when to say please or excuse me and various other manners. He also said that he really liked the book and that he would like me to read it to me again.
Overall we both enjoyed the book and it will definitely be read again in our house.

I really need this book in my house.
We love nice manners! You can never be too pleasant to be around :)
I agree! We need t teach our children about manners!
I love books that teach manners! We have a few in our house and the kids love them.
this would be a great book for my son Jamison. I am always drilling manners into him and any back- up I can get would be helpful.
my 4 year old loves this book.. made her more aware of her manners….
I agree, manners are so very important. The earlier taught, the better. Helping to teach them through a fun outlet like a rhyming book is a great idea!
