I am a sports fan, but Baseball not so much. Although it’s fun to play with a group of friends and family, I just don’t have the patience to attend a game or watch one on TV. I tried going to one once, and let’s just say I won’t be receiving any invites anytime soon. I do however enjoy watching episodes of the peanuts gang when they play.
Synopsis: Batter up with Peanuts and celebrate their greatest sports moments in this all-new collection. For Charlie Brown, a new baseball season equals new hopes of winning. Unfortunately, one player just isn’t measuring up, which makes the team decide that Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown. Then suit up for a triple-header of laughs with The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show. In The Pelicans, Charlie Brown gets stuck with mascot duties while Peppermint Patty is on the road to victory with her baseball team. Great Pumpkin finds the Peanuts gang visiting the bowling alley in hopes of teaching Charlie Brown a new sport with hilarious results, and it’s game on as the neighborhood cat meets his match when Snoopy’s older brother Spike trots into town. It’s time to catch the winning spirit and share these tales with your teammates, since happiness is what Team Snoopy is all about!
My Thoughts: Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang never get old. The characters are timeless, and I can watch the cartoons over and over again without getting bored. The newest release features an all new collection filled with baseball fun.
My kids are huge sports fan, and play organized sports, so I knew they would like this DVD. Within a few minutes of starting Lucy Must Be Traded, Charlie Brown, they were discussing how they could relate to the relationship between Lucy and Charlie Brown. I think everyone can remember a time in their life when they thought the grass was greener on the other side. Well, Charlie Brown will soon find out that it’s not easy managing a team, especially when it comes to trading a teammate.
Will Charlie Brown trade Lucy? Will the losing streak end? You will have to watch the DVD and find out for yourself.
The episodes from the “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show” are also fun to watch. I had forgotten about Spike, so it was fun to see him come to town. The DVD has a running time of only 48 minutes, but I definitely recommend it if you are a fan of the Peanuts gang or just want to watch some classic cartoons.
I love Snoopy! Who is your favorite Peanuts character?
