Tales of The Not Forgotten by Beth Guckenberger is an amazing collection of real-life stories about real children living in poverty all around the world. I think the thing that I enjoyed most about this book was the way it was written. Written with pre-teens in mind in each story the author simultaneously tells the story of the child and the the person who will affect their life in some way. Neither party knows what will happen until it does and it reminds us that miracles do happen every day.
Tales of The Not Forgotten was touching intense and heartbreaking as well as beautiful and joyful. This book really invoked strong feelings in me. Maybe that’s because I have children of my own and I couldn’t even imagine them in those situations or maybe its because too often we miss the miracles that happen every day. Regardless the message is clear. If you ever feel alone or down and nothing is going right. You Are Not Forgotten. Everything happens for a reason.
Overall this book is a good introduction/reminder of God and miracles for pre-teens, or anyone really. I very much enjoyed reading Tales of The Not Forgotten and I look forward to sharing it.

This book sounds really good! I’ve always taught my kids that it’s better to give than to receive and to always help out those that are less fortunate than us, and that we should believe that God never gives us more than we can handle. (at times that’s hard for me to handle…but it sounds like this book really puts it in a way that my 2 younger ones, 15 and 13, would understand. I’m going to have to look into getting this book for my 13 year old daughter. thanks, great review!!!
