Book Review: The Unbound Series

The Unbound Series currently consists of 2 books with a third book in production.

Sam is a sentinel looking for his soulmate – Jude is a human he is responsible for watching over. Jude is an unusual charge for Sam and he has trouble coping with the restrictions place on him. There is drama and adventure as Jude grows into her adult life and Sam learns why she is so unique. This is categorized as a young adult series, but I believe it is a good read for any age. There are some religious overtures, but they are limited and not overly done either.

Hazy Shade of Winter - Book 1

This book introduces us to Sam and Jude and the role of a sentinel. Some portions are a little slow to progress through, but they are necessary for the overall storyline. You definitely gain a connection to the characters as you read and become concerned about the results of their adventures.

Sun is Burning – Book 2

The characters are the same in this book mostly and it allows for a further expansion on each of them. The relationship between the characters is elaborated on and becomes more intense. The ending of this book is a perfect setup for another book and really hooks the reader.
