Despite being well out of my teen years, I still suffer from acne on my forehead once in a while. Over the past few years, I have tried several over the counter and prescription products for acne. Most were expensive and not effective, while others worked well and improved my skin, but left it dry. Then there were the products that cleared my acne, but caused light spots, or peeling and flaking of the skin. And let’s not forget about those 3 or 5 step treatment systems out there where you have to use each product 2 times a day. I have been looking for a simple, yet effective way to clear my skin without having to use multiple products. I had given up until I heard about a new Clearasil product.
Clearasil PerfectaWash is designed to give you visibly clearer skin in as little as 12 hours without overdrying. The automatic dispenser takes the guesswork out of trying to figure out how much to use. It delivers a preset dose of face wash to ensure you are using the right amount every time.
I received a 3 month supply – starter kit of Clearasil PerfectaWash. It includes an Automatic face wash dispenser, 2 100 dose refills: Soothing Plant Extracts and Superfruit Splash 3 batteries.
Setting up the starter kit is a breeze. There are no complicated steps, and long list of directions to read. Simply read the recommended steps for setting up, and how to use. It took about 5 minutes, and I was ready to give it a try. I turned it on using the on/off switch on the back of the dispenser. Next I waited for the blue light on the front to stop flashing, and placed my hand underneath the nozzle. Seconds later it automatically dispensed a dose, and I was ready to wash my face.
I have been using Clearasil PerfectaWash twice a day, once in the morning and once at night for a few weeks. I noticed an improvement in the first week of use. I don’t have an extreme case of acne, but it did clear my problem area up in a matter of days. My skin is sensitive, so sometime when I try a new product, I end up with acne somewhere I didn’t have it in the first place. I haven’t noticed any new breakouts which is a big plus in my book.
I’m usually not a fan of scented face wash, but the Superfruit Splash smells great. It has a light, fruity scent. The Soothing Plant Extracts doesn’t smell bad; it just doesn’t have much of a scent. The product lathers well, doesn’t make my skin feel dry, and makes my face feel nice and clean. Only cons are that the consistency of the face wash is very thin. If you are not careful the product can slide right out of your hands. Also I recommend that you turn the dispenser off to prevent accidental dispensing, or little ones from playing with it.
I really like that Clearasil PerfectaWash is simple to use, and doesn’t take much time to use. This is important for a product that you use daily. If a product has too many steps, I usually forget about it after a few weeks.
