My husband works in construction and when it comes to picking out work clothes he has to have pants or shorts that are durable, baggy and comfortable. Make them cargo shorts and that’s even better. When I told him about the potential to do a review for Molecule Clothing he was really excited! Molecule Clothing was kind enough to send us the Kool Kickers Cargo Shorts to review and my husband chose the Bamboo Camo color.
My first impression was that I really liked the pattern. My second was “Wow these are heavy!” These are not your typical cargo shorts, they are built to withstand whatever you could possibly throw at them. They are built to last! Every seam is double stitched, there are adjustable cords around the waist and the legs are made from thick cotton. The pockets are huge and the cargo pockets feature two buttons for extra security.
My husband really likes these shorts. Growing up his mother was a seamstress and he immediately recognized the quality of his cargo shorts. His favorite feature of the cargo shorts are their durability. In the few short weeks that he has had them, they have been camping, quading and worn to work but you would never know. The material is not only tough but it seems to be fairly stain resistant. Another great feature is that they are also safe to be used in the washer and the dryer!
The only complaint that my husband has about the cargo shorts is the button fly and that’s only because he finds them to be a pain and time consuming. He did admit however, that it is definitely more durable than a zipper.
Overall the Kool Kickers Cargo Shorts by Molecule Clothing are, according to my husband, the best pair of shorts he has ever owned and he plans on wearing them until there is nothing left. Which could take a while…

This looks like some shorts that some of my male friends or husband might enjoy, except for the heaviness you described. I know that I enjoy wearing men’s cargo shorts more than female shorts and I’d be put off if they were heavy. They have pockets, of course, so adding more heaviness to an already heavy garment…. turn-off.

These might work for my husband. He is very hard on his shorts and they always end up ripping out around the pockets. Maybe these would last longer for him.

My hubby is a big guy- I think he’ll need to lose a few pounds, because I didn’t see a 3x size option on the site.
