Words to New Authors

This is to every new author and everyone looking into getting into being an author. Don’t do it find something else to do that will make you more money and is more stable.

If you feel discouraged at this point, it’s okay, but it’s no reason to give up your dream. I said what I did for one reason not to discourage but to give you an idea of what you will hear, as you become an author. It doesn’t matter how good you writing is or how creative you are, you will have someone that tries to bring you down.

When it happens and it will, they are bad ways to react and good ways. First, if you take it personal and think that what one person thinks of your work is what everyone will think it will destroy your writing. Therefore, you need to take it with an open mind and use it to better your writing. When I started writing, I was only 9 years old dyslexic and I kept to myself all the time. So from the first time I tried I was told I couldn’t, to stop trying I would fail, but I never stopped trying. Because it was my dream to be an author, it kept me going day after day, and it even help me find ways of turning all the bad comments I got around to something good.

Herein lays my advice, as an author starting out there will be those that tell you that you can’t, to give up writing. And when they do, it’s up to you to find out why they are saying that to you. Use it find every flaw in your work and find ways to fix it. Every time someone tells you give up because of something in your writing, be thank full because they just told you exactly how to make them your fan, and how to make others that read what they do your fan also. So don’t get angry when you are put down get determined and fix that problem. Make those same people telling you that you need to quite your biggest fan.

Being an author is about being creative in not only your writing but also how you develop and grow as and author so find your way to make your work different, and use every bad thing said about you as advice of how to get better.
