Welcome to Closure Author Kim Carmichael! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions about your life and book!
Kim Carmichael began writing eight years ago when her love of happy endings inspired her to create her own. She has a weakness for bad boys and techno geeks, and married her own computer whiz after he proved he could keep all her gadgets running. When not writing, she can usually be found slathered in sunscreen trolling Los Angeles and helping top doctors build their practices.
Closure Interview with Kim Carmichael:
Please tell us in 20 words or less, why we should read your book.
Everyone has one person they think about from their past, and this is one answer to the ultimate do-over.
People who are late, waiting for emails, a restaurant having no Splenda and chipped nail polish.
If you could have a first edition signed copy of any novel, what would it be and why?
Phantom of the Opera because that book is why I write.
Do you have plans for a new book? Goals for future projects?
Yes, I am working on a couple of longer works with some characters very near and dear to my heart. Also I am finishing up my novel, a menage that I like to call a traditional romance novel that just happens to have three people.
How did you come up with the title of the book?
I thought it fit the theme of the story perfectly, and I think all of us at some point are looking for Closure.
Have you ever written anything that you thought would be controversial and found it wasn’t?
Yes, I wrote a very steamy scene for a short and thought it was way too graphic, then I found out that I am one of the “cleaner” writers.
What are three words that best describe you?
Driven, Insane and Loyal
What’s your ‘guilty pleasure’ TV show?
The Real Housewives of any city – I watch them all (hangs head down low)
Facebook or Twitter?
What book(s) or author(s) have influenced your life and writing?
Johanna Lindsey because it is straight up good old fashioned romance, and Flowers in the Attic because it was awesome and different.
I can crochet, and not only that, I can read patterns and make up my own.
What’s the last truly great book you read?
Warm Bodies. It was written in the zombie POV and was very different.
What does your workspace look like?
Heywood-Wakefield desk that holds an iMac- a cup with my first cover on it full of sharpie pens and scissors, a limited addition Phantom of the Opera doll, my time machine, a candle I bought to give me good energy when I was waiting to hear from a publisher, and my iced tea.
What genre does your book fall under?
Erotic Romance – but it is romance first even though it has steamy scenes.
How do you replenish your writing spirit?
Drive in the car with a new iPod playlist!
Tell everyone where they can go to stay up to date on your latest news!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I want to thank you for having me here with you today, and also I have a website theresalwaystheone.com and we are looking for real life stories of closure!
There’s always the one…
He’s one person throughout life you think about every so often, the one who leaves his unique indelible mark on you, the person with whom you need closure.
For Margaret Collins that person was Mike Taylor. After he broke her heart seventeen years ago, she left everything she knew and reinvented herself. With a new home, a new look and a new name, Riley Williams is now an up and coming journalist given the assignment to interview a Mike Taylor. She never suspected he would be her Mike Taylor. With Mike having no hint of Riley’s true identity, she must decide if she will make him pay for sins he doesn’t remember committing, or if she can wipe away the past and be with the one man who she has always wanted?
