Circle of Lies

After Reading Pack of Lies, the first book in the Red Ridge Pack series, I was overly enthusiastic to start right away with the second installment, Circle of Lies which now features Aiden Wright, brother of the kick ass heroin Allison from the first book. I absolutely loved this one even more than the first, the main characters Allison, Caden and Kendall move over to give the spotlight to Aiden, Teagan and Peter, managing not only to take part in a very interesting story filled with action and true love, but they on their own speak volumes with their personalities.

For instance, I thought that Aiden was a bit superficial in the first book, but of course I was completely wrong. I loved being inside his mind and watch him struggle from being the perfect ladies man to a boy completely unsure on how to get the girl he is crazy about, Teagan, who is struggling with her ever drunk father and the absence of her mother. And Peter, well… he really was off the wagon, talking to himself, though he did have a point for he had witnessed the murder of his uncle. He became obsessed of finding the werewolves and killing them all. No wonder he was locked up at a psychiatric ward.

There’s plenty of drama at every corner, many things that made me go “WHAT?” with news thrown at you that at first you wouldn’t consider it as a problem but then it turns out to be serious. All I can say is that I liked Caden and Alli, but I loved Aiden and Teagan. A boy that can stand up for what he believes in, fight for it, who doesn’t let people step over him, and a girl who’s grown to be tough and that she loves her father no matter how he treats her, I believe are traits to admire and cheer on.

This is a must read for all the werewolves lovers out there and it’s the perfect time to catch up with this series, for the third book will be just as good as the first two, I just know it!

About the Book:

Aiden Wright is trying to figure out who he really is, but the truth could cost him his true mate—or his life.

Life has always been easy for Aiden Wright. He’s smart, athletic, funny, and the ladies adore him. But when tragedy strikes, Aiden discovers the truth about who he really is, and his whole world comes crashing down around him. Aiden thought that being a teenage werewolf was going to be awesome, but it might just cost him the one girl who could make him whole.

Since her mother’s disappearance, Teagan Rhodes’s life has been littered with her father’s empty beer cans and his hollow promises to change. Convinced that others would only let her down, she keeps everyone at arm’s length—but resisting Aiden’s charm is proving to be more difficult than she thought. Throw in a psychotic werewolf hunter out to terminate the species, and one wrong move, one wrong decision could destroy everything.
