Did you know that National Lollipop Day is only a few days away? According to the National Confectioners Association, July 20th celebrates National Lollipop Day. Who knew there was a day to celebrate this sweet treat? And in honor of the day, we are giving away a $25 gift card to See’s Candies!
No one knows for sure how the modern-day lollipop was invented, but we do know how it got its name. George Smith, the owner of a small American candy store, came up with the name in the early 1900s. He called the sweet treat a “lollipop” after his favorite racehorse—Lolly Pop, which brings me to See’s Candies Gourmet Lollypops.
See’s Lollypops are like no other. They are very flavorful, and last a long time. They are very distinctive by their square shape, and are available in the flavors: Chocolate, Vanilla, Butterscotch, Café Latté, Root Beer, Chocolate Orange and Chocolate Caramel. They just sound amazing by the names. My favorites are Butterscotch and Chocolate.
The lollypops are something that you may have never experienced before. They are made with dairy-fresh butter, heavy cream and have the flavors of real vanilla, Colombian coffee, chocolate and butterscotch. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.
I mailed them as a surprise to my nieces, nephews and godkids for National Lollipop Day, and they were a big hit. Who doesn’t like to receive a gift in the mail? Thanks See’s!
You can get an assorted box of Lollypops, or if you have a favorite you are more than welcome to get a box of all one flavor!
Happy Lollipop Day!
