Working from home can be a dream come true, but if you don’t know where to start, it can be a bit frustrating. Nevertheless, working from home is working out for many people these days, and can actually pay the bills. So, if you want to make it work for you, too, and are looking for more flexibility in your work life than you currently have check out these ways to legitimately make money from home. Whether it’s a part time job or full time job that you are looking for working from home could be the perfect match for you.

Sell Your Skills

Did you read a nice review on a product lately? Or a blog that made you really think about a topic you enjoy? Chances are they were written by freelance writers. If you can write, become a freelancer! It’s easy, practically free to do (you just need a computer and Internet connection) and it can be done from anywhere. Do you like baking, photography, animals? Whatever your passion, turn it into a skill and market it into a job. Become a dog walker/sitter, or a wedding cake baker that works from home. Whatever you do, have fun and it will show in your work.

Sell Your Time and Knowledge

Can you teach people a few things? Tutoring, writing classes, yoga classes, nutrition seminars, and so much more can all be sold as time and knowledge. If you have any expertise in a certain area, sell that as a job! Write up something about yourself and why you’re qualified to teach this skill, build a free website, and market yourself to people. Be prepared to do this on evenings and weekends to accommodate schedules, though.

Babysitting is another “time” consuming job that can be done from home, but it generates lots of funds, especially because day cares are so very high and many people prefer personal sitters. All you need is a clean and safe space and lots of love and patience for little ones to make this happen.

Sell Your Crafts and Food

Hit up the maker’s fairs, the craft fairs, and even offer to cater or decorate for events. Selling crafts and food is a fun way to enjoy your hobby as you make money from it. There are hundreds of ways to sell these products, too, from online sites like Pinterest and Etsy, to fairs and roadside venues. All you need is a solid product (or five- don’t limit yourself!) and the ability to wait on people to order from you or stop at your booth.

If you are facing a decision of whether or not working from home is right for you, take a look at a few pros and cons of working from home.
