His chivalry was strangling her. He thought he was helping her, and in truth he was. She was in desperate straits. But as honorable as he was, he was also breaking her heart.

Her attraction was drowning him. When World Champion rodeo cowboy Rossen Rockland and his friends rescue a young runaway who has been abused by her foster father and take her home to his parents ranch, he expects her to turn out to be a pain in the neck. And sometimes she is.

It doesn’t take him long to figure out that she has way more than her allotment of trouble and far more than her share of gifts. Lovely, talented, and ravingly brilliant, Kit Star is too young, unbelievable humble, and oh so loveable. Knowing that she needs his protection and time to grow into her potential, Rossen also figures out that what she really is, is a pain in the heart.

About the Author: Jaclyn M. Hawkes grew up in Utah with 6 sisters, 4 brothers and any number of pets. (It was never boring!) She got a bachelor’s degree, had a career and traveled extensively before settling down to her life’s work of being the mother of four magnificent and sometimes challenging children. She loves shellfish, the out of doors, the youth and hearing her children laugh. She and her fine husband, their family, and their sometimes very large pets, now live in a mountain valley in northern Utah, where it smells like heaven and kids still move sprinkler pipe.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions about your life and book!

Cindy Cipriano lives in NC with her husband, son, and 27 pets. Okay, more like one cat, three dogs, and many, many fish. Cindy is an award winning science teacher, who this past August celebrated her 12th first day of sixth grade.

The Circle Interview with Cindy Cipriano:

If a movie was made about your book, who do you picture playing the lead roles? Why?
Calum – Louis T. Moyle
Hagen – Davis Cleveland
Laurel – Isabella Cramp
Riley – Taylor Hay
Uilleam – Patrick Stewart

Do you have plans for a new book? Goals for future projects?
I am writing away on The Lost, the second book in The Sidhe series. At this time I’m planning seven books to tell the story of Calum, Hagen, and Laurel. A preview of The Lost is included in The Circle.

How did you come up with the title of the book?
The Circle is a reference to faerie circles.

Did you lose any characters along the way?
Main characters? Er…not…yet. Stay tuned!

You’re hosting a dinner party for a famous writer, dead or alive. Who’s on the invite list and who’s your guest of honor?
I’d have to honor several. Jeffrey Lieber, J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, and other writers of the television series, Lost. Their writing was just amazing!

Who designed the cover of your book?
The talented Paul Summerfield. He did an excellent job! www.ageofwonder.org

What is your favorite genre to read/write?
I have two! Middle grades, and young adult.

Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers?
Join a critique group. Right now. I could have saved so much time had I joined one earlier.

What book are you reading now?
I’m reading a friend’s work in progress, but the last book I read was Starchild: The Age of Akra by Vacen Taylor, an excellent science fiction writer.

Do you skip around, peek at the ending, or do you read straight through a book?
I start at page one and read the book straight through.

Favorite places to vacation?
I love the North Carolina coast, particularly the Emerald Isle.

Where do you like to read?
Any place is perfect!

How did you celebrate the sale of your first book?
Ha! I’ll have to let you know. The Circle releases on June 1st. It is only available right now for pre-orders. http://www.amazon.com/The-Circle-Book-One-Sidhe/dp/1922200042/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366599183&sr=8-1&keywords=cindy+cipriano

What’s your favorite thing about Spring?
The frog calls in late winter/early spring. I love hearing them in the evenings.
What are your favorite go-to recipes for everyday dinners?
Any restaurant will do. For any meal.

Where did the idea come from for the book?
So, don’t laugh, but as I pondered my predicament during a…um…“time out,” I wondered what I would find beneath a tile in the floor of my room. I imagined a long winding staircase, and at the bottom I’d find a wise faerie hunched over a desk working by candlelight. This person became Uilleam Lindsey, and my daydream the scene in which Uilleam meets Laurel. And no, I don’t know remember why I was in time out that day, or any other day!

What genre does your book fall under?
Middle grades fantasy.

Tell everyone where they can go to stay up to date on your latest news!
Anything and everything about The Circle can be found on the series web page: www.TheSidheSeries.com

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Yes! I have the greatest fans, and I appreciate their support. I’d like to share one of their stories.

Fairy Stone Park is one of the settings in The Circle. It is based on the Virginia State Park by the same name. One of my early readers did not know this was a real place, and was surprised to see a sign for Fairy Stone Park as she was driving through Virginia. She drove forty miles out of her way to investigate the park, bought a Fairy Stone, and brought it to me. She was so excited to share her discovery, and asked if I knew it was a real place. That moment was one of the greatest compliments I’ve received. Knowing my story moved someone to drive out of their way on the chance they might connect with The Circle was a wonderful feeling.

As I said, I have the greatest fans, and I love hearing from them. Please visit www.TheSidheSeries.com to post your comments, and upload your pics.

Calum Ranson is sure of three things: his cousin Finley is alive, Calum will find him, and no one knows Calum and his family are Sidhe. No one until Laurel shows up at his mother’s bookstore wearing a dark clan’s mark.

When Calum learns the details surrounding the disappearance of Laurel’s brother, he suspects the evil Hobayeth clan. Calum and Laurel work together in the Realm of Man and the Otherworld to rescue her brother – revealing a connection between Calum and Laurel that may cost Finley his life.

I remember seeing the trailer for The Oranges when it was about to be released in theatres, and thinking it looked funny. I love indie films and Hugh Laurie, so when I was given the opportunity to review the movie, I figured it would be fun to watch.

The Oranges stars Hugh Laurie, Leighton Meester, Oliver Platt, Allison Janney, Catherine Keener, Alia Shawkat and Adam Brody.

About The Oranges:

The Oranges introduces us to two married couples living across the street from each other. There is Terry and Cathy Ostroff (Oliver Platt and Allison Janney) and David and Paige Walling (Hugh Laurie and Catherine Keener). The two couples are best friends and do everything together. That is until the two suburban families lives are forever changed when The Ostroff’s rebellious daughter Nina (Leighton Meester) returns home and begins an affair with long-time family friend David.

The Walling’s daughter, Vanessa (Alia Shawkat) who lives at home is caught in the middle of it all. It doesn’t help that she used to be best friends with Nina, and that her brother Toby (Adam Brody) likes Nina. As you can imagine all kinds of crazy situations develop from this point, and we find out just how unhappy the two families are.

The cast is great and the performances are good, although nothing is outstanding. The plot is simple and believable, but the ending is predictable. There were some very funny scenes but I wouldn’t call The Oranges a comedy. The Oranges is a drama and comedy mixed in with a Christmas film. Although the movie is a bit slow at times it’s entertaining, and worth seeing at least once.

You can check out the movies official website and view the trailer at welcometotheoranges.com.

The Oranges, is now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy available at Amazon and retail stores nationwide.
