Where All Souls Meet

I’m a bit bummed because I was expecting so much more of the final book in The Bloodstone trilogy. After all, the author was improving both in world-building and character development. I don’t know what happened, but this book felt like going through the first book all over again, a lot left unexplored.

I have to say it is a cute read, but that’s as far as I can go. In this book, Meghan finally reunites all 5 souls that will help her beat Satan and open the gates of heaven. There’s action and danger at every corner, but it’s the kind that love conquers all quite easily. Too easily for my liking.

The characters were fun to read about again, but the main character in this instalment is at times hard to swallow. She’s just too good, too forgiving, and at the end, just a pawn in a sick game of proving something which doesn’t seem fair to me at all after all she went through.

All things considered, I’m glad I reached the end of the trilogy. I don’t like leaving series unfinished, and even though this book wasn’t the best ending in the whole world, it at least left me with a small smile on my face. Like I said, it was cute.

About the Book:
The gates of heaven remain closed due to the Blood Stone. It’s Eden Schmidt’s task to collect the five souls who can help open them again. She has three of the five souls already, and the end is so near she can taste it. Unfortunately, Satan can see how close she is too—and he’s willing to do anything to stop her.

  1. Thank you for your honest review. I hate it when the last book in a series is not up to standards!

I have read your review and although the book sounds interesting I am afraid it is not the kind of read I am looking for.

  3. This sounds like a book that my son would love to read. He likes trilogies like this and it sounds very interesting.

  4. I like trilogies and sets like this, and I have read my share where you wish they could have either stopped sooner or went further. Sounds like aa nice light reaad though and one I might enjoy.
